10 Minute Playwriting - With Monte D. Monteleagre

In this introduction to playwriting, students will take a three week course that will culminate in a complete ten-minute play followed by a staged reading from Actors at the Acting Academy of their final scripts.
Students will meet weekly across three sessions to develop their scripts from concept to final product, all while offering and receiving feedback to and from each other and their instructor.
The first lesson will focus on conceptualization, characters, and early writing of the story while bouncing ideas off one another, the second lesson will focus on completing a first, solid draft of their play, and the final lessons will focus on editing, redrafting, and finalizing the work.
Following the three weeks, writers will have the opportunity to see their work in a public staged reading given by actors at the Acting Academy for collective members and whoever else the writers and actors would like to invite!
COST: $205
DATES: February 10th, 17th, & 24th with a guaranteed staged reading at a date that is to be determined. Your instructor will be in contact with you!
